This is Wendy when she was 4 just before
she learned how to swim.....she is my truest
friend ...I wish to thank her and all of her kind
for that gift of friendship. She is the most
powerful spirit I have ever encountered and I
dedicate this page to her as well as my works
in progress...thank you Wendy for showing
me what true unconditional love is..
I found the 'barefoot trim' on my 5th sleepless
night after my mare was diagnosed with
WHITE LINE DISEASE
like many others, I refused to believe that a
hoof wall resection was the answer...
This is Wendy's
hoof Dec.
2005....Diagnosed
with white line
disease
A bottom shot
of he hoof
showing a
necrotic
lamina and
invasion of the
sole...
Here's a shot of all four feet in
May of 2006...The white line is
well connected now...the crack
has grown out and she is
sound! The right front is the hoof
from the previous pictures.
Barn's burnt down-
now
I can see the moon.

Every day I must remember to count my blessings...to stop and
listen to the world around me. Often times I need reminded and
grounded, for I am sure to hear the whisperings of this world when
I'm accompanied by my soul mate, my husband, Duane. If not for
his persistence and guidance I surely would not be who I am today. I
am forever grateful for his loving guidance and support. With his
help all things are possible.

My life path has taken many turns. It was not until my
early thirties that my experiences lead me directly into
horse and hoof care. If there is a signature
characteristic that governs my decisions, it is a fairly
simple one. I am aware. Life is a gift not to be
squandered frivolously or disdained. One must act in
accordance with nature to become aware and live in
the present. Through my teachings with the AANHCP,
and now Liberated Horsemanship, I have the unique
opportunity to help others learn from nature and return
domesticated, pathological hooves to their intended
form and function. It is my mission, my job and my
passion to continue my studies and to educate all
whom are interested in a more holistic approach to
natural horse keeping.
I have a passion for trick training as well, for it not only
makes training fun but it teaches your horse how to "think"
with the right side of his brain! Please enjoy the photos and
don't hesitate to ask for a lesson at your next appointment!
