We're still working out the details for two events in the eastern region to raise
awareness and funds for the AHF. Tentatively, we are looking at a
JUDGED
TRAIL RIDE
to be held at Raccoon Creek State Park in Pa. In late July. This
event will be located at 3000 State Rt. 18 Hookstown, Pa. 15050

combined with a judged trail ride, to be held at Bark Camp in OHIO for July
2011. Barkcamp is licated at 65330 Barkcamp Road Belmont, Oh 43718

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead.

These words have inspired us to hold fundraising events to support laminitis research. Anyone
is welcome to join us in the venture, and I will gladly post any event submitted as long as it
supports our cause.  We are hoping this idea will spread to all hoof care professionals so that
we may stand united in support of equine research. I've simply asked a few friends and clients
to help, and our first events will be entitled "RIDE FOR THE CURE!"
So who will we be raising money for???

The notable works of the
Animal Health Foundation for the past 25 years has captured our
attention and have been chosen to be the recipients of our first fund raising efforts.  AHF is
based in the St. Louis, Missouri area and has recently supplied grants to the following
recipients:

  • Dr. Phil Johnson, U. of MO
  • Kathryn Watts, BS, Rocky Mtn. Research, Center, CO
  • Dr, Samantha Brooks, Cornell U
  • Dr, Steve Adair, U. of TN
  • Dr. Tom Goetz, U. of IL
  • Dr. Harold Garner, U. of MO
  • Dr. John Bertram, Cornell U
  • Dr. Eleanor Green, U. of MO.
